I’m Helen Bowden, the founder and stylist behind The Salon at La Villette Hotel. With over 25 years of experience in the hair industry, my journey has always been driven by one simple goal: helping people feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.

Hairdressing is more than a career for me — it’s a craft. From my early days training in Guernsey to becoming a Wella Master Colour Expert and studying the Head Shape Matters™ Cutting System, I’ve always believed that education and passion go hand in hand. Every head of hair is different, which is why I tailor each cut and colour to suit not just your style, but your unique face shape, personality, and lifestyle.

In 2016, I opened The Salon at La Villette Hotel to create something different — a private, relaxing environment where every client receives my undivided attention. No crowded waiting areas, no conveyor-belt styling. Just one-on-one care, thoughtful consultation, and the time to get it right.

I believe in using premium products and techniques that nourish the hair while enhancing its appearance.

Whether it’s a precision cut, a transformative colour, or a simple refresh, I take pride in delivering consistent, high-quality results that help you feel like the best version of yourself.

When I’m not behind the chair, I’m usually learning, listening, or planning ways to elevate the experience for my clients. Because this isn’t just about hair — it’s about trust, connection, and feeling good inside and out.
